Abstract The topic of this article is meetings, conventions, and exhibitions (MCE)industry. First, this article gives a brief introduction to the development of MCE in the world (including China), and recognizes MCE as a high-yield tourism item.How ever, it has not aroused enough emphasis in China yet.MCE has a brilliant prospect in China and is worthy of great effort to be developed.This article points out some of the most apparent restraints now existing in Chinese MCE industry, while giving suggestions on strategies which should be carried out during the development.
