Abstract The space-time data of individual's behaviors gradually grow to be one of the most important quantitative foundations of disaggregated modeling and analysis in the researches of micro-process and behavior-based human geography and transportation. However, how to efficiently and actually produce and manage large-sample disaggregated data, especially the behavior data in daily life, are the main blockage to the researches such as travel demand management and urban activity-travel system. Though there have been a number of trip-based and time-use surveys implemented by local or national statistical departments, seldom literatures discuss the theories and methodologies of production and management of disaggregated data in mainland China. Therefore, this paper explores the production and management of individual space-time data in theory and methodology, using the case of two-day activity-diary survey in 2007 Beijing. The production process of space-time data includes five processes of survey contents, survey mode, diary design, sampling and database design. The methods with which how to quantitatively access the reliability, validity and completeness of disaggregated data are presented and discussed. At last, we proposed high-quality individual's behavioral data need more studies, comparing and sharing of the practical experiments from the production and management.
