STUDY ON BUILDING HARMONIOUS SOCIETY AND EXPANDING SOCIAL GEOGRAPHY

Abstract  There are some new trends such as industrial restructure and shift, more and more migrations, fast economic growth, expanding regional and urban disparities in China under the background of globalization and regionalization recently. Some social problems have appeared such as jobless, new poverty, social polarization and slums in urban areas because of unfair distribution and differences of family incomes. A seedbed of social problems has been built. This paper will focus on the discussion of social geography, especially on the course, process and mechanism, and promote the development of urban sociology and social geography, and gave some theoretical frames and approaches for building harmonious society in China.
