Abstract Based on the basic data about regional website of China from www.sohu.com, the author describes the status quo of differentiations of the website construction. That is the coastal area has 3/4 websites of the total, while the inner land has the rest, and the coastal have much more proportions of the economic websites to the total than the inner and higher quality of the website management than the inner.
Furthermore, by means of computing the co-relational co-efficient of the variables, the author analyzes the cause and mechanism of the differentiation of the construction of the website in China, and summarizes below:first, as the material base of informational, the differentiation of the regional information infrastructure is the direct cause which makes the difference between the region s; second, the differentiation of the regional high quality human resources is the core cause; third, the differentiation of the regional economical situation is the basic cause; fourth, the differentiation of the regional culture is the deep cause.
On the base of the analysis above and considering the classification of the coastal and inner is casual, the author selects seven variables to analyze the differentiation of the ability of WWW, namely, the total websites of the region, the economic websites of the region, the websites per ten thousand persons, the index of the informational infrastructure, the sum of the regional population of the college, regional GDP and the outer degree of the region, standardizes and analyzes through SPSS10.0, classifies three areas of China, namely, the area of high ability of WWW utilization, the area of middle ability of WWW utilization, the area of low ability of WWW utilization, correspondingly, some advice is put forward about the methods and paths for promoting the ability of WWW utilization.
