ANALYSIS OF THE PUBLISHED ARTICLES AND HOTSPOT DOMAINS IN HUMAN GEOGRAPHY FROM 1986 TO 2015

Abstract  Human Geography is the only academic journal which studies the science of human geography in China. It has greatly improved the development of the science of human geography and has made great contributions to the talent cultivation and the construction of the research communities in China. Human Geography witnesses the revival and development of Chinese human geographysince its first publication to 2015, aboutfor 30 years. It is an important platform to reflect the development and research hotspot of Chinese human geography. In recent years, under the background of social economic development and transformation, the development of Chinese human geography and research hotspots closely combines with the requirement of the national development strategies and practice. Chinese human geography has made great progress in many researchfields. There are many new developing features in articles published in the Human Geography. Using the visual tool of CiteSpace which can show the relationship between the development process and structure of knowledge, and the document management tool NoteExpress, this paper gives a statistical analysis of the 3522 articles which have been published in Human Geography from 1986 to 2015, including quantity, topic, author and their institution, and citation. Based on the indexes of frequency, centrality and burst term, this paper explores the research hotspots and their stage characteristics which arereflected in the articles published in the Human Geography in the past 30 years.
