Abstract Tourism strategies was the text data of recording the travel itinerary of the tourists themselves, in the main travel portals all have distributed. Strategies have recorded the main travel process of tourists. It contained the spatial information which could be used for the analysis of the tourism flow, providing a good data carrier for the research on the spatial flow of tourists. Such a data carrier could analyze the spatial flow on large scale, also could analyze tourist flow on the urban internal dimensions. Not only could analyze the characteristics of the tourist flow between the scenic spots, but also could analyze the tourist flow among different types of tourism nodes in the city, could effectively solve the problem of previous studies. To this end, taking Nanjing as a case study, this paper constructed a relationship network to explore the spatial characteristics of particular tourist flow between external transport nodes and hotels with date mining of tourism strategies. This study has drawn the following conclusions:1)In terms of nodes, the indexes of hotel inflow, outflow and centrality all showed circle structure obviously. High value regions were distributed in the north and south of the city center, and low value regions were distributed in the peripheral region. 2)In the network which tourists flowed from external transport nodes to hotels, the number of the hotels, the number of paths, the dispersion coefficient, flow ratio which participated in were decreased with the increase of flow threshold, connectivity of the entire network was constantly increasing, and the flow distribution was more balanced. 3)Whether the network that tourists flowed from hotels to external transport nodes or tourists flowed from external transport nodes to hotels, the relationship between the flow and the distance showed the characteristics of the two stage distribution.
