A RATIONAL THOUGHT FOR REGIONAL TRADITIONAL CULTURE AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT——Taking Huizhou Culture for Instance |

Abstract Traditional culture closely relates to modern tourism. Tourism resources and regional culture have been noticed greatly and been explored and developed simultaneously. Not only the regional traditional culture is a kind of important tourism resources, but also it affects the progress and model of the regional tourism development because the development of modern tourism demands its corresponding cultural concepts. With its great splendid and distinctive characteristics, deep essence, and perfect integrity, Huizhou culture, which had its flourish time in china's history, is one of the three most typically region cultures in China, and major components of Chinese traditional culture system, and is paid more and more attention now. In the region of Huangshan City(i.e., ancient Huizhuo) covered by Huizhou culture mainly, the tourism resource embodies its features of various, such as high quantity, elegant taste and remarkable advantages. At the same time, the city enjoys good geographical condition, traffic facilities, and the favorable policies. Huangshan City should already have com posed a comprehensive tourism region, however the fact is that these advantages have not played their important roles, and many issues have not solved properly during the course of tourism exploitation, development and operation, so they have not been made good use of to promote the composition of tourism industry. Taken Huizhou culture with a distinctive local style for instance, this article cites from the feet of deep-rooted Huizhou culture with distinctive characteristics. Meanwhile the article also analyses backward elements of culture lie in Huizhouese such as weak view points of the whole, conservative ideas, independent-mind, and nonconsciousness of competition. And the article at last points out that people(esp. natives of Huangshan City) should fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of Huizhou culture in order to decide how to inherit and develop the tradition culture. It also calls on people to cultivate a culture of the newera and a new cultural environment with graceful tradition and satisfaction of the modern tourism development, to create the link and exchange between the traditional culture and modern society, and to carry out in Huangshan City the great project "Renaissance of Tourism".
