Abstract This paper begins with summarizing the facing problem of environment and the trend of gradual deterioration in the field of international trade and analyzes the urgency and feasibility to coordinate international trade and environment. Based on this, it puts out five basic principles to intermediate worldwide environment and trade development in the 21th century, which are the principle of trade liberalism, undertaking the environmental duty differently, making use of the macroscopic economic policy to push forward regional sustainable development, gradually standardized management of trade policy and environmental policy, respecting the rights of development and existence of the developing countries.
