Abstract That the negotiations for China's entry into the World Trade Organization (abbreviated farm:WTO) at bilateral and multilateral levels have entered the final stage means it will not be long before China becomes a member. It's sure that the Chinese agriculture will be influenced firstly by China's entry to the WTO because China is a big country which has more than 8 hundred million farmers. This essay intends to study on how the Chinese agriculture will be influenced and what relevant countermeasures should be taken when China will have entered the World Trade Organization. The China's entery to the WTO will be beneficial to the international market ofexport of the Chinese farm produce, promote the reform of the economic system of Chinese rural area and also effectively resolve the issues of the international trade. But at the sametime, the market of domestic farm produce will be under the bigger pressure than ever before. The domestic grain production will be impacted in some degrees and the foreign exchange of the government spending on the import of the farm produce will significantly increase within some time. But the international market will make different impacts on different kinds of the farm produces. In a word, China's entry to the WTO will produce the favorable and detrimental influence on the Chinese agriculture. So it is necessary for us to take active and feasible countermeasures to promote the development of the domestic agriculture and ensure the domestic grain produce.
