Abstract One will observes that conflict exists between the conservation of ethnic culture and the rapid development of tourism industry. It has been a long time to call attentions of researchers how to reserve the chastity of ethnic culture while developing tourism; how to gain the authentic characteristics of ethnic culture while making it be in normal dynamical progress. On the base of analysis on ethnic tourism both for purposes of development and conservation, the eco-museum is regarded as a model for sustainable ethnic tourism development.
