Abstract Firstly, on the basis of understanding of industrialization concept, this paper discusses the important role of industrialization in developing area. Secondly expounds the strategic significance, task and the role of industrialization about the great development of the North Jiangsu by analysing the course, present condition and problems of industrialization in the North Jiangsu. At last, offers some proposals of the way of industrialization in this region.
