Abstract This paper discusses the support role of knowledge economy paid in sustainable development.Then, it analyses some limitations of sustainable development index system at home and abroad, puts forward a initial frame of sustainable development index system in view of knowledge economy, which includes 55 basic indexes.At last, it puts forward improved comprehensive assessment model.
