Abstract With the rapid development of the economy, tourism has already become a pillar industry of the national economy in China, and urban tourism is the basis of tourism industry. In China, the theoretical research of urban tourism started a little late but it developed very quickly. In recent years, a lot of new theories have been introduced into the field tourism research, among which social network theory and its analytical method in sociology has been one of the hotspots in the domestic and overseas research for the past few years, therefore, the tourism research entered into a new period on the basis of the high-speed development of sightseeing districts. The tourism market research project in Wuhan is conducting sampling investigation for the tourists to Wuhan, including the all-round investigations of the visitors to Wuhan who are different in age, degree of education and income level in the three channels of tourist attraction, hotel and travel agency. The content of the investigation involves demographics, travel ability, information collection channels, travel tools, the feedback of eating, living, traveling, posting, shopping and amusement in Wuhan, the impression and suggestions of Wuhan. According to the places that the tourists choosing to visit in Wuhan and the three indexes of the social network theory:degree centrality, closeness centrality and intermediate center, the research has studied the tourism spatial structure of Wuhan consisting of the tourism nodes and empirical analysis of the tourism spatial system structure. The characteristics of the tourism spatial system structure of Wuhan and the factors affecting it are analyzed at the end of the passage.
