Abstract：Plant resources abound in the Zuojiang River basin of the Nanning prefecture of Guangxi. In accordance with the requirement of domestic and foreign markets, the beverage plant resources, perfume plant resources, food pigment plant resources, fibre plant resources and medicinal plant resources must be exploited and utilized at present. Plantation and dometication of useful wild plants,adoptation of modern biologicaltechnology and establishment of productive base of raw materials are the effective measure of exploiting plant resources of Zuojiang River basin. The rational exploitation and utilization of plant resources is advantageous to the development of economics and protection of ecological environment of the Zuojiang River basin of the Nanning prefecture of Guangxi.
