统筹发展是新的历史条件下的现实选择,其出发点与立足点是普遍存在的客观差异。研究空间差异是城市地理学的基本命题,但对于都市区内部空间发展的差异,既有的区域层面的研究成果对此并不完全适用。笔者认为,都市区内部空间发展差异存在着明显的"阴阳结构"。本文试图以"阳面区和阴面区"界定都市区内部存在发展差异的空间地域,并对其概念、内涵、特征、机制等进行探讨与剖析,以新的辨证思维和新的视角来研究新的境遇下都市区空间的发展。

Chinese government has proposed a strategic development thought named as "Five Unified Plans". One of the most important unified plans is the unified planning regional development, which has important strategic and practical sense to coordinate regional development, improve the existing binary structure phenomena, and reduce the gap between different regions. Furthermore, the unified planning provides theoretical guidance to thoroughly construct a society of relatively comfortable life. The starting point and the standing point of unified planning development as a realistic choice under new historical situations are objective differences generally existed. Urbanization is increasingly becoming a new regional space unit of Urban Geography Space Research as a new phrase of Chinese urban development. The elementary sentence of urban geography is the research of objective differences that generally exist in the area of urban internal space development. However, the available theoretical achievement in the region level is not totally suitable for the research of objective differences in the area of urban internal space development. The author of this context holds an opinion that obvious "Yin Yang Structures" are present in urban internal space development. The Chinese traditional culture emphasizes the balance between Yin and Yang, which are the two basic aspects of everything of the world. Yin and Yang represent the feminine (or negative) and the masculine (or positive) sides of all the things respectively, and the conversion between the two in certain condition promotes the progress of the things. In fact, urban development also obeys the above rules, in which negative and positive features exist. The author attempts to define the space regions where development differences are present within urban areas with positive regions and negative regions herein, and discusses and parses the concept, intension, feature and mechanism of the positive and negative regions by analyzing relevant data of urbanized areas of four representative cities such as Wuhan, Wenzhou, Baoding and Chongqing and expressing the phenomenon of spatial differences. Furthermore, the above mentioned concept is compared to the other concepts expressing the regional internal spatial differences herein. With regard to the in terrelationship of regional spaces disclosed, the concept of positive and negative regions is more visual and accurate to express the interrelationship of regional spaces than other concepts. In detail, the concept of positive and negative regions studies on the development of urban spaces under new circumstances with new authentication thoughts and new visual angles. The common understanding of coordination development of urban regions is advanced by the research, so that the active and positive strategies and measures are adopted to improve and optimize the development condition and environment of negative regions.
