COMPARISON AND ANALYSIS OF DEVELOPMENT PATTERNS OF COUNTY TOURISM——A Case study of Three Counties in Hangzhou

Abstract：County,as a traditional basic administrative area in China,contains boundless potential for tourism development and bears the responsibility to develop tourism products,promote itself,make rules and regulations and offer reception services.With the rapid development of modern tourism,county has turned out to be an important carrier of tourism industry in a country.Only with the full development of county tourism economy can a country develop a strong supporting system for the industry.Market and government are two basic means of resource allocation.The mechanism and range of government and market functions vary greatly in different counties.
The paper takes three counties as study cases,demonstrate that the patterns of three counties' tourism development are very different from each other although they located in the same area,which are embodied on the different developing scheduling,different market-based process,special space positioning and administration system.And also,the paper gives their respective evaluations as well.It is such elements as resource,location,economy,and social and cultural background of a county that decide its development path and evolution mode of tourism,factors that can,in different times,impede or hinder regional tourism development.Once the developing track is decided by all those factors above,it will continue to be strengthening in the future.
