Abstract Urban crime, including murder, injury, indecent assault, robbery and fraud and other types of crime, which is the most common burglary cases. Family is the cell of society, it is necessary from the influence of the properties of the family of ordinary city from the angle of family property, community location of urban crime, and the completion of such studies required for ordinary residents of the survey and interviews to achieve. The research is based on a questionnaire survey of 18 communities in Guangzhou. There are 1302 families in the questionnaire survey. Different types of families in the frequency of a burglary exist obvious differences. There are many factors to influence the frequency of burglary, for example, the degree of willing to help, family household register, living conditions and family income and etc. From the point of social attribute, this local families experience more burglary than foreign families and middle-income families experience more burglary than low-income and high-income families. From the point of family structure, the more complex of family structure experience the more burglary. From the point of living conditions, the per capita housing area and residential buildings years present positive correlation with burglary, but architectural layers are negatively related with the burglary. From community are familiar with, the different community experience different frequency burglary. Familiarity with the neighborhood improvement will not result in a burglary frequency drop, but with the higher the degree of neighborhood help each other, the family of a burglary frequency will drop significantly.
