Abstract Domestic and international studies of urban networks from the perspective of enterprises mainly build networks based on intra-firm sectoral organizational relationships, rarely focusing on the real factor flow linkages between enterprises. Therefore, this paper firstly combs different kinds of enterprise linkages and their advantages and disadvantages in constructing urban networks, and then constructs urban networks in the Yangtze River Economic Zone based on the block transactions of listed companies in 2013-2018, and analyzes urban networks and their changing characteristics from the real capital linkages among enterprises. The study shows that:1) The capital flow has the characteristic of clustering to a few cities. 2) The structure of the urban network in the Yangtze River Delta has undergone a low-high-low development. 3) The Yangtze River Delta city cluster has a relatively developed and well-connected network structure,
