Abstract In this paper, evolution of man land system has been briefly analyzied, and come into conclusion that the people, resource, environment and development is the main content of nowadays man land system, furthermore, achived a conclusion that the sustainable development theory is the highest degree of man land system theory up to now.In the end, based on the instruct of sustainable development theory, made a brief case study on population and economy system of Huhhot.
