Abstract In international relations,Mongolia is not a powerful country in terms of its national power and influence. However,due to its particular geopolitical location,Mongolia plays an important role in the strategic relations between leading powers,which can tip the scale of the Asian-Pacific strategic structure. Therefore,the inclination of its foreign policy will have an effect on the strategic relations between leading powers. Meanwhile,positioned in the geopolitical structure of related leading powers,Mongolia receives restrictions from relations between leading powers as to its national strategy and foreign relations. After a general account of Mongolia's geopolitical features,this paper analyses the effect of these features on the strategies of such leading powers as China,Russia,the US and Japan. It also elaborates the feature and the pattern of Mongolia's foreign strategies.
