Abstract  The basic properties of urban spatial environment are important spatial factors which affect urban crime.This paper analyses comprehensively the spatial forms of these properties, including distribution pattern, allocation pattern and inter-action, and discusses systematically these properties' direct and indirect influences on types, rate and key elements of urban crime.
