Abstract  The paper, supported by the basic theory of spatial sustainability, explains the process, causes and harm of the man-land relationship which has developed from explotation to mutual reprisals in Hui ethnic community in southern part of Ningxia. Moreover, it still analyses 4 essential factors which restrict the sustainability:difficult life and backward mode of production; low level in reproduction and quality of population; isolation of regional culture; Poor ecological environment. In light of these, the paper puts forward the solutions of carrying out the sustainability so as to alleviate the tension between man and land. Firstly, the focus on quickening the progress of regional economic is to increase the degree of antipoverty. With the help of anti-poverty project,s attempts are made to change its backward mode of production and adjust the industrial structure with a view to increase its economic growth. Secondly, the focus on promoting the construction of ecological environment is, on the one hand, to follow the economic rules, beginning with peasants' living standard and arousing people's positive attitude to take part in ecological construction. On the other hand, abiding the ecological rules will be the smart move to bring an effective ecological construction. Thirdly, the focus on strengthening the construction of regional culture needs to unfasten it from traditional culture and local inertia culture. Furthermore, culture construction should be on the top which means renewing local residents minds and promoting their comprehensive quality, guiding them to take on justified outlook on life, birth, value an ecology for the purpose of setting up the open-minded pattern of plural-culture. Fourthly, the stress on adopting vigorous measures in the regional construction is, with the principle of practical convenient labor and living as well as the assembling and distribution, to transform the old community into a new one by planning it as a small town, which will quicken the process of townization. In spite of this, community construction and planning should be based on the view of sustainability by means of raising funds from different channels directed by government and managed by local. Also, the government should give them sufficient policy along with fully considering ecological construction and human-orientated in an attempt to build a balanced man-land relationship and then advance the regional sustainability.
