Abstract According to China's holiday system,citizens have three parts of traveling time:double rest days, golden weeks and holidays with salary. Because of the weak points of double rest days and holidays with salary, golden weeks is becoming main traveling penrod of Chinese tourists. All kinds of defects of golden weeks resulted from so many tourists traveling yearly at the twenty-one days. It is the very time to improve current tourism holiday system, and properly some traditional festivals as holidays, promote gradually the system of holidays with salary, meet traveling demands of Chinese people, and precipitate sustainable development of tourism in China.
