TOURIST PERCEPTIONS ON THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT PERFORMANCE IN TOURISM DESTINATION——A Case Study of Huangshan City |

Abstract Transport is a bridge between tourism demand and tourism supply, and convenient transport can be propitious to tourist migration demand. As the key constituent part of total tourism product, transport infrastructure not only is the important factor that determine one's tourism attraction, but also makes the important composition and key characteristics of tourist' tourism experience. This study takes the case of Huangshan City as an example, analyzing the capability of perceived dimensions of tourist public transport performance and its values of tourist satisfaction. The results show that:1) Using the tourists importance evaluated data of each element which belong to the capability of public transport in Huangshan City, can achieved the dimensions of public transport performance in Huangshan City. 2) As for the tourists' satisfaction of the capability of public transport in Huangshan City, 18 elements of tourist satisfaction's values are over 3.4 in average, and the total satisfaction value of public transport in Huangshan City is also 3.66; in the view of dimension, the highest evaluated value is "the safety of public transport" (3.81 in average). 3) Using IPA model, takinges the data of the tourists importance and tourists' satisfaction evaluated data of each elements into the model, we can get preponderant area (including 8 elements of public transport), reparative area (3 elements), neglectful area (6 elements) and retentive area (1 element).
