Abstract Services geography research began in the early 1970s when western countries developed into the period of industrial society,in the research process gradually formed the related theory and research issues. Services geography is an important branch of economic geography. From the viewpoint of the subject system, services geography is an inter-disciplinary of geography, economy, sociology and other subjects. But the object of the study must base on certain surface space to show its design features of "comprehensiveness" and "territoriality". Although services economy theory and services geography theory is relatively mature, the two theories is not organic united. As a result, the basic theory and research framework of services geography is not clear. In this context, exploration of the theory and methodology and innovation to promote development in services geography, implement research focus and breakthrough research difficulties is crucial. Because of this, this thesis studies related documents about services geography, home and abroad,in detail,to get a clear and general ideal of the research context and development in services geography and to provide reference to the further study in future.
