Abstract  The core tourist attractions not only have some specific objective properties,along with the subjective symbol properties constructed by human beings.Their value has been reflected in several ways in the process of tourism experience.The constructing of tourist attraction system is extremely important,especially in the regions inhabited by ethnic groups where the tourism activities are dominated by the type of cultural tourism.With the theories of tourism experience and industry integration,this article brings out a new method about the constructing of tourism attraction system.That is to say,the authors try to construct it in the view of tourism theme positioning and tourism experience chain designing.To start with,regional tourism development themes should be extracted from the time-space dimensions and coupling-matching mechanism method to achieve the accurate understanding of the core tourism attractions.The enthusiasm of participants can be inspired in the tourism service,including local governments,businesses and community residents.It can also meet the expectations for tourists on destinations.Only in this way,the two final goals of visitor satisfaction and sustainable development of tourism destination can be both achieved.Lastly,they used it to the overall tourism planning of Hot Springs County as a case study.
