Abstract The process of urbanization promoted economic growth, facilitated population concentration and industrial upgrading, but there is inherent coupling relationship between urbanization and ecosystems, so urbanization triggered a series of ecological problems, and also led ecosystem services value's systole. Therefore, in the early and mid stages of urbanization development, high speed and regional ecological environment was deterioration, ecosystem services features were shrank, the process of urbanization has thus been restrained; With the development of urbanization in the later stable stage, ecological environment construction investment expand appropriately, smart growth appeared in ecosystem services features. Urban agglomeration is a new city-area type that appeared in the process of urbanization development, with a high urbanization development potential, and it is a sensitive areas where's ecological environment problem is highly concentrated and intensified, to fit the interaction between urbanization development and ecosystem service value, can provide a theoretical basis to sustainable development of urban agglomeration areas. In this paper, in case of the Jilin central urban agglomeration, defined the study period as the year 2003~2013, assessed the level of individual and integrated urbanization in the Jilin central urban agglomeration, and used the application of the ecosystem service unit value table to calculation total value of ecosystem services in Jilin central urban agglomeration, and analyzed the element response relationship between the level of urbanization development and the ecosystem services value.
