Abstract  Regional economic difference has always been the focus of regional economics. Analysis of regional economic disparities from the county scale can effectively provide the basis for regional development and planning. However, at present, there is a lack of related studies not only on the convergence and divergence of regional economic disparities but also on the spatial interaction types of counties in Fujian Province. Facing this gap of research, taking the per capita GDP as a measure index, the county as the basic research unit, adopting the traditional statistical analysis method combined with ESDA, this paper focuses on the evolution of temporal and spatial pattern of county economic difference in Fujian province from 2005 to 2013 from three aspects including time, space, and the relevance in support of ArcGIS and SPSS and other software. The results show that: 1)The absolute difference of Fujian county economy is expanding in the volatility, the relative difference is shrinking each year, and the largest contributor to economic disparities of Fujian Province is the internal difference of southeast Fujian. 2)There is a positive spatial autocorrelation in county economy, but the county economic agglomeration is fluctuating recession, polarization phenomenon shows a decreasing trend. 3)The distribution of more developed counties along four traffic lines is shaped as "mouth" font. 4)The distribution of underdeveloped counties is more concentrated in some provincial border regions where there are economic backwardness corridors. 5)The economic growth of the counties has a converging impact on the regional economic difference. 6)The spatial correlation effect of county economic development is correspondingly strong, and the pace of development is relatively fast.
