A STUDY ON THE GEOGRAPHICAL RELATION IN NORTHEASTERN CHINA AND CORRESPONDING STRATEGIES |

Abstract This paper analyzes the research backgrounds and regional settings of this thesis, and points out that the Northeastern China has become the front line of global geographical relation, due to its special position and environment. The thesis has summarized the evolving process of the geopolitical relation in the Northeastern China and Northeastern Asia, and makes some conclusions on the future development trend. In the authors' opinion, the geographical relation has four characters and five basic trends.The four characters are:the first is that the geographical relation in the Northeast China and Northeast Asia will remain its anfractuosities, but will turn in compact to compact because every sides related is taking action in active and practical attitude; the second is that the Northeast Asia is becoming active region of economic relation in East Asia since its member countries not only corresponded the political relations but also strengthened the economic cooperation of which resulted in the consanguineous and frequent contacts between them; the third is that the geographical relation of ecological and environmental, taking the protect and father of the regional ecology and environment as the main subject, is catching more and mo re attention and making an actual evolvement under the sustain and help of the international society; the fourth is that many aspects of the geographical relation in Northeast Asia is not complete and there are a lot of issues need to be resolve, because the regional cooperation in Northeast Asia is still in the beginning step comparing with other regional groups such as European Union, Association of Southeast Asian Nations, North America Free Trade Agreement. And the five basic trends are:the first is that Russia will strengthen its geopolitical attention in Northeast Asia; the second is that the process of Korea Peninsula's unification will be slow and flexuous;the third is that Japanese dreamy becoming a great political country will be hard to be realization; the fourth is that the conflict between politics and economy in the Asian-Pacific strategy of the United States will continue; and the fifth is that the foreground of economic cooperation between China and Mongolia will be optimistic.
