THE CHARACTERISTICS AND EFFECTIVE FACTORS OF RURAL RESIDENTS' TOURISM CONSUMPTION IN THE TYPICAL WESTERN AREA: A CASE STUDY OF RURAL RESIDENTS IN GANSU PROVINCE |

Abstract With the development of rural residents' tourism, it shows tremendous market potential. Understand the rural residents' tourism consumption characteristic and its influence factors will be helpful guiding a reasonable and orderly development of rural residents' tourism. At present, some scholars have studied the rural residents' tourism consumption characteristic and its influence factors in the eastern and central regions, but our country region is vast, different regions the tourism consumption characteristic and its influence factors may be different, therefore, study the rural residents' tourism consumption characteristics and its influencing factors in typical area of western area has important and practical significance. So, by using the micro survey data of 526 rural residents in Gansu Province, this paper analyses the consumption characteristics and effective factors of the rural residents' tourism consumption in the typical western areas of China. The analysis results shows that:compared with the rural residents of eastern and central regions in china, the rural residents of typical western area have Lagging behind tourism consumer attitudes, tourism consumption will are not strong enough. In Gansu province, rural residents' tourism consumption influence factors are disposable income, tourism product price, destination, tourism service conditions, leisure time, support groups, accessibility, travel intention and motivation, etc. But in all of these factors, the disposable income and tourism product price is the dominant factor, followed by the destination construction factor and tourism service conditions factor, third is the leisure time and group support factor, accessibility, travel motivation and travel intention is less influential.
