Abstract：The paper compares and analyses the related theories and practices on the economic regions and its types in China and abroad. It analyze and summarizes the concepts and types of economic regions trying to make some efforts on the study of regional economic theories and the development of Economic Geography, as well as how to participate in regional economice effectively.
