Abstract:As a traditional branch of human geography, the commercial geography has gone through a process of thousands years to be developed and perfected. Nowadays, it becomes a member of geographic science. The author delimits and describes it into three stages historically (ancient. modern and contemporary). Then points out the characteristics of its core events and enphasizes the contrast between the Western and China's, such as CBD, commercial street and rural bazer etc. Finally, this paper indicats that commercial will soon become brisk and possess the national conditions in China. Principal tasks will be following projects: commercial location, commercial center and network, trading street in city, as well as supermarket and farm produce market in metropolis.
