Abstract：The research on man-earth relationship should be in a scientific paradigm. The paradigms at the level of ideology are just philosophical and ethical speculations. In philosophical and ethical speculations on man-earth relationship, there have been the idea of God's will, geographical determinism, probabilism, the idea of conquering nature, and antianthropocentricism. Now the idea of harmony between man and the earth is being identified and prevailing in the world. This article introduces and evaluates main ideas on man-earth relationship appeared in the history and contemporary days.
