Abstract：This paper, on the basis of review of developing history of western geopolitics before World War Ⅱ, introduces some typical geopolitical theories in the post-world war Ⅱand post-cold war in the western countries, theories such as the "model of multi-polar World",geoeconomics and the clash of civilizations, The article analyses the background of thoughts and history of these western geopolitical theories, and evaluates the developing character of these western geopolitical theories in the post-world war Ⅱ, particularly in the post-cold war ear. Abrief forecast of developing tendency and direction of western geopolitical theories in the future is given in this paper.
