Abstract：Zuojiang basin locates in the Southwest of Nanning region, including six counties and cities, (Fusui,Chongzuo, Ningming, Longzhou, Pinxiang, Daxin). A long time irrational land use has resulted in serious water and soil loss with surface erosion, gully erosion and gravity erosion. The basin has a land area of 15,092.39 square kilometers and the area of water and soil loss is 525.81 square kilometers. On the basis of the analysis of present situation and forming rules, this paper suggests the relevant measures for controlling water and soil loss in this area.
