Abstract：This paper discussed the prospects of developing Tumen river and its influence on the economy of Jilin province, expounded the conditions and potentials in a narrow district from east to west in the province, pointed out that the province should make use of the chance of the development of Tumen river and the construction of a new Asian-European land birdge to set up a developing corridor from east to west so that the narrow district can become an economic axis to make the province's economy a faster growth.
