Abstract：The object, content and theoretical frame are the key problems in the development of rural geography. On the basis of a probe into the history, practice and theory, this paper gives of general conception of the object, content and theoretical frame of rural geography. (1)The rural regional system should be the object. (2)The content compased of 13aspects and 65 main points about the structure and evolution of rural regional system. (3)The theoretical frame should include the theorization of the structure, evolution of rural egional system and the connection with its enviroment.
