Abstract：The software industry, who has become the most important industry in the world, is the representation of "Knowledge Economic Time". Indian software industry is the biggest one in the development countries in the word. The paper firstly discusses the situation of Indian software industry, then deeply researches the experience of success. The following factors are very important to the development of Indian software industry: ①the construction of software industry zone; ②the policy of software industry; ③the effect of software industry association; ④the stratagem of software workers; ⑤the system of venture investment. At the same the paper discusses the lesson of failure about the development of Indian software industry. Being a developing country, China should absorb the experience of success. So at last, the paper brings forward countermeasures of software industry about China.
