Abstract:The coupled human and natural systems were formed through continuous interaction between human activities and nature composition. Under the guidance of this theoretical framework, we studied that how the human activities affect the ecological environment in Turpan area. As we all know, the special climate of Turpan was the preconditions for our this study. Based on the data of Tourism-Economy-Ecological System in Turpan area from the year 2001 to 2011, which was from Statistical Yearbook of Xinjiang, Statistical Yearbook of Turpan and Field investigation in Turpan, then we used principal component analysis and SPSS17.0 software to determine the relative weight of each index to construct tourism-economy-ecological comprehensive evaluation function, and then used the model of coupled degree and coupled coordination degree to calculate each degree of tourism-economy-ecological system in Turpan area. Compared the values to the classification of coupled coordination degree, we got the types and characteristics of coupled coordination degree of tourism-economy-ecological system in Turpan area. The result showed that during 2001 to 2011, the type of coupled coordination degree in tourism- economy- ecological system was changing from tourism-advanced to economy-advanced, and the condition of the system was changing from harmony to disharmony that was the development of tourism and economy go beyond the threshold the ecology could stand. And the system of the coupled coordination was in antagonistic state, the ecology was an important factor in restricting an elevation of coupled coordination degree.
