| An Evaluation of Landscape Resources in Hengshan Mountain |

Abstract Hengshan is not only one of the Five Famous Mountains in China, but is also well-known for its religious activities and tonrist all raction. This paper sets forth the formation of Hengshan natural landscape, and sums up the superiorities of Hengshan mountain from the tourist point of view. Namely, it has a unique aesthetical value, rich contents of science and art, numerous items of tourist senceries, and favourable geographical situation in transportation and communication, etc. Finally, the development principles are put forth as follow:
1. To combine construction of tourist facilities with protection of tourist landscapes.
2. To lay equal stress on both natural landscape and human and culture landscape in the decelopment of landscape resources.
3. To synchronize beautification and purification.
4. To give consideration to both social benefits and economic benefits, etc.
