Abstract Through the careful investment in Hani ethnic area, this article discusses the details of the definition, characteristics, structure and functions of the cultural ecology system of Hani terraced fields.And illustrates that:the system is a coordinating Human Earth system of Hani's living and environment which is the paddy cultivation of terraced fields.
