Abstract This paper made a concrete analysis on the influence of the Western University City,such as the land use of the center city,education space,population space and industry space,based on the introduction of Western University City and the spatial extension of Xi'an city.As to the out-of-order spreading of the centre of the city,the Western University City will become the new growth centre on the space.Meanwhile,its construction will be also supported by south suburb of Xi'an and promote the construction of large Xi'an, realize the diffusion of the area of urban in Xi'an city center;the function that Western University City plays on Xi'an city educational space spreading is that it ties closely with all universities in south suburb relying on the advantage of closing to cultural and educational district,make the cultural and educational district move forward southwards gradually;The beautiful natural environment and strong cultural characteristics in University City will attract high-quality talents,and make them engage in scientific research and teaching activity in the University City.Such good scientific atmosphere will also attract ordinary people to live, realize diffusion of population space;the Western University City which relies on the advantage of talents, technological reserve and closing to the district of high-tech industry will promote the space of the new high-tech industry to spread.Meanwhile,its own tour resources advantage will also drive the development of the tour resources in Chang An district,promote the space of tourist industry to spread.
This paper also points out that it should do well in the planning of Western University City and planning of Xi'an on the process of promoting spatial spreading;meanwhile,coordinating with the whole development strategy of the whole Chang'an district and surrounding area practically;Combined the school,enterprises and the government's strength together;Strengthen ecological construction in order to promote the diffusion of urban space of Xi'an effectively.
