RESEARCH ON HISTORIC STREETS RENOVATION AND PROMOTION BASED ON CULTURAL CREATIVITY INDUSTRY——A Case Study of Nanluogu Lane in Beijing |

Abstract This article takes Nanluogu Lane,which is a representative of traditional civil buildings in old imperial city,as an example,analyzing renovation and promotion of historical streets on the basis of cultural creativity industry. The results show that it is an effective way to upgrade and reform historic streets in urban area through developing cultural creativity industry that is a sunrise industry around the globe now. It is essential to integrate cultural creativity industry with historical streets on the grounds that they can promote and supplement each other. However,the prerequisite is that there is no unduly damage to historical streets style due to the development of cultural creative industries. In this paper,following aspects,which are the basis of the historical streets style,should be taken into account when choosing to combining historic buildings with cultural creative industries as they are important factors contributing to authenticity of historic conservation area. Moreover,the author analyze the condition of Nanluogu Lane on the basis of above factors,and the results reveal that there is almost no damage to historical streets style in Nanluogu Lane although a host of cultural creative shops have been introduced into this streetsNanluogu Lane. Apart from that,the author analyze the three different cultural sources of cultural creativity industry in Nanluogu Lane,the results indicate that Beijing culture is the dominant one,integrated with other types of cultures,such as pop culture and minority cultures. Not only can this kind of development mode preserve the local cultural tradition in maximum,but also is beneficial to the formation and maintenance of the tourism brand. However,the developers should be informed that authenticity of historic conservation area is of great importance and protection work of the historical buildings needs to be implemented strictly.
