Abstract The invention of modern transportation is the prerequisite of tourism industry. With the characteristics of high speed, large volume of passenger and good security, high-speed railway enables tourism destination to increase its accessibility and enlarge its tourist market. On the other hand, high-speed railway requires a higher level of tourism supply of the destination, including tourism attraction, tourism accommodation and services, tourism investment, tourism human resource and tourism environment. All the supply factors will be restructured and optimized under the influence of HSR, so that they can meet the changing and increasing market demand better. Firstly, this paper summarized the related theories and current research on the topic of high-speed railway and tourism, which showed that the high-speed railway is really playing an outstanding role in allocation of tourism industry factors in the region and the tourism economic corridor driven by highspeed railway is performing. Secondly, it introduced the background, methods, contents and objectives of the research as well as the main definitions of the research objective in this paper. Xi'an is a traditional tourism city as well as a transportation hub of the western regions. Then, by using the methods of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Delphi, it built the evaluation system with the index weight to evaluate the tourism supply of hub-city under the influence of high-speed railway. In order to enrich the evaluation, we also chose Wuhan and Nanjing, two tourism cities, which is also hub-city influenced by HSR as typical cases for comparative study. Comparing the three cities, it is found that the tourism supply level of Xi'an is the lowest among three under the influence of HSR railway, however the trend is going up with great potential.
