Abstract：The efficiency of publication of newspapers and periodicals concerns the regional position of the space of producing area of newspapers and periodicals greatly. At present there aren't many writings about it in the geographic field both at home and abroad. This field should be developed urgently. This article analyses the feature of the space distribution of newspapers and periodicals in our country, divides type region of the space function and forecasts the developmental tendency of production of newspapers and periodicals conducting preliminary research on this problem.
