Abstract：The "Big Development" of western China gives Xinjiang great opportunity.As an important part of the PRED, population is significant to the sustainable development in Xinjiang. This paper discusses the population in two aspects of space and time, forecasts the people number and the reasonable capacity in Xinjiang oasis in future by SD model, and puts forward three projects and corresponding suggestions, based on the problems caused by quick population growth.
