Abstract：Anhui Province is short of a key city that could lead the development of tourism industry. Based on the analysis of the capital city Hefei, this paper points out that developing Hefei into a key tourism city is an essential strategy for the development of tourism industry in Anhui Province from 2006 to 2010. This paper also gives some suggestions on how to reach the goal.
