Abstract:With the further development undertaken at present, the project planning of Guanzhong-Tianshui economic zone has been fulfilled, which will be another important economic zone and gowth pole in the west part of China after Guangxi North Gulf and Chengdu Chongqing Economic Zones. Based on the historical review, the contrast analysis and the generalized analysis, this paper studies the radiating exemplary role and the path choice of developing Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. And then it points out the advantages in geography and the developing potential of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. Also, the paper argues that the construction of economic zone between Guanzhong and Tianshui favors the industrial transfer from East to West, which brings about the development in the north and south of Shaanxi and Gangsu provinces, and benefits the development of surrounding area and the Eurasia bridge construction to strengthen the strategic safety in northwest area of China. The paper points out that the most advantages for its construction, in contrast with Guangxi North Gulf and Chengdu Chongqing Economic Zones, are to develop high technology energetically and strengthen independent innovation so as to strive for constructing a powerful and famous high-tech research and development center. It should follow the developing path of enhancing the integrated development of equipment manufacture and IT industry to promote the harmonious development between military industry and local economies, and acceleration of the modernization of traditional agriculture, aiming to create tourism brand products with souvenirs of characteristic of Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties so as to speed up industrialization and urbanization in this region and keep harmonious development between urban and rural areas, setting up particular tourism and establishing the green ecology in Qinling Mountain and along Wei River.
