Abstract:Industrial cluster can result in the external benefit of the scale and economic extension, and deepen professional division of labour. Meanwhile, it can strengthen the competition of enterprise, which results in the upgrade of enterprise in the location. Generally, Industry transfer is a carrier and expressional form for the readjustment of industrial structure. Industry transfer is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of economic development for a country or region. But, industrial cluster causes the industry regional glutinosity and impedes industry transfer. Base on the analysis on the industrial cluster of Chancheng district in Foshan City, the largest industrial base of ceramic manufacturing in China, with more than 600 corporations, this paper discussed the ceramic industry transfer over there and held that there was a industry transfer in the progress of the formation, development and upgrade of the ceramic industrial cluster in Chancheng. The paper discovered the different models of industry transfer in different periods in Chancheng:diffusion with spread in 1990s and transfer with leap in the beginning of 21st Century. Then, the paper further analyzed the micro mechanism, which was the origin of the market actuation for the formation and development of the industry transfer pattern through the researches on the ceramic industry in Chancheng District Foshan City. Finally, the article considered that the market was the strongest impetuses in the ceramic industry transfer while the local government acting as an assistant. Therefore, the paper argues that the industrial cluster can not only block the industry transfer, but also bring the regional glutinosity. It is a trend for the undeveloped region to carry on industry transfer from the developed region, which is advantageous for the undeveloped region to upgrade its industrial structure.
