Abstract:Logistics is an integrated flow of goods from the producing site to the consuming site, which is composed of transportation, storing, packing, loading and unloading, processing and allotment etc, which are equipped by the information technique. Logistics industry is a new service industry developed by the continuing social division which can promote the development of regional economy. This paper first constructs an international logistics model, trying to explore the machinery and the general law of it. The Contrast of the harbor hinterland relations between Qingdao, Tianjin and Dalian, three harbors along the Bohai circle, demonstrates that Qingdao's logistics industry development is confronted with the competition from Tianjin, northern China, and Fushan, south Korea, respectively. Secondly, because of the lack of an direct passage to the mid western China, Qingdao's harbor hinterland is encroached by Tianjin and Nanjing harbor, which are located along the Bohai circle and Changjiang River respectively, which caused that Qingdao's logistics industry development is poorly supported by a contracting hinterland, which is a potential restricting factor to the development of Qingdao's logistics industry.
Qingdao must make full use of its advantages in harbor location, depth of the coastal sea water, harbor facilities, logistics enterprises and the spatial scope of hinterland, to establish a logistics complex integrated by harbor, storing house, shipment, railway and express way etc, by the advocate of the local government. Secondly, Qingdao should try to ameliorate the harbor's collecting and distributing facilities by cooperating with the central government or its sectors in local infrastructure construction. For example, by cooperating with the railway sector, Qingdao should try to construct Zhucheng Huangdao sub railway, opening up a direct passage to the central and western China, and establish some container transfer stations in its hinterland, such as Henan, Shannxi and Gansu provinces, which can extend the harbor's functions to its hinterland and increase the exported goods from the hinterland. Finally, Qingdao should make full use of the capital home and abroad to build the container terminals rapidly in the Qianwan harbor, making Qingdao an efficiently operating hub harbor, which is composed of Qingdao harbor and Huangdao harbor.
